welcome

Good evening!  We are excited to begin the 2022-23 school year tomorrow, August 29th.  We also wanted to communicate some very important information for the first day:

SCHOOL MEALS

This year, Peck Community Schools applied for and has received the Community Eligibility Program Grant.  This means that ALL PECK STUDENTS will receive FREE lunch in addition to our free breakfast, HOWEVER, there is a yellow form that needs to be filled out for all students in lieu of the regular free/reduced lunch application.  Please help us ensure we have all the appropriate information so we can all benefit from this wonderful grant.

Under this grant, STUDENT LUNCHES are free.  At the junior and high school level, beverages and ala cart items outside of the menu will still have a charge if those options are chosen by students.  Staff and adult lunches will also have a charge.

Our lunch menu is always posted under DINING on the website and the app, but our first day of school’s menu is as follows:

Breakfast: Mini Pancakes

Elementary Lunch: Turkey Corn Dog or Muffin Fun Lunch

High School Lunch: Buffalo Chicken Dip and Tortilla Chips

BUSSING

Due to lack of participation and drivers, Peck Schools will be consolidating our evening bus run to three busses daily.  This potentially means that your students will have a different driver in the evening from in the morning.  Please be patient with the drivers and other staff as it takes a few weeks to make bussing a well-oiled machine and know exact times for pick up and drop offs.

SCHOOL HOURS

School begins at 8:00 and dismissal is 3:05.  The elementary school doors will open at 7:50. Busses will hold students until this time and then will release them when the doors open at 7:50. If you are dropping off or picking up your child before/after school, please do so in the parking lot next to the playground.  Please do not arrive before 2:50 pm for pick up.  Recess is taking place we do not want traffic in this area for safety reasons.  PLEASE DO NOT USE THE CIRCLE DRIVE in front of the elementary before or after school during drop off or pick up.  It is a bus loading/unloading zone and is not only highly dangerous, but illegal.

We are excited for the new year and look forward to working with our Pirates and their families!!
